5ème visit T.Park

135 students in 5ème and their teachers spent Thursday 26 April at T.Park, the largest sludge incinerator in the world.

Built and operated by the French company Veolia, this facility, self-sufficient for energy and water, is one of a kind in Hong Kong. (www.tpark.hk)

In addition to the visit, each 5ème class, accompanied by a Veolia employee, followed a specific programme of activities around the cycle of water which allowed students to complete their cross-discipline projects.

This trip was a chance for students to learn about a project with operations which address different themes linked to ecology and sustainable development studied in class this year.

The teachers would especially like to thank the volunteer parents who joined this trip as well as the team at Veolia for organising this visit and mentoring the students throughout the day.
