Reflection on Climate Issues
On the occasion of the week of the French High Schools of the World on the theme of sustainable development, the high school students proposed a reflection around the climatic stakes. Through four projects, they invite us to reflect on the consequences of our way of life on the future.
Here is a brief description of each project:
The Ostrich Policy
Very often used, it appears to be the easy solution to the current ecological challenges…
The 6e students had to think about the following questions:
- What will my future be made of?
- What is the biggest threat to my future?
Our students presented us with the most direct of warnings!
Plastics are attacking us
By asking 5e students to give life to plastic packaging,
The idea was to imagine humanity being attacked like in Hitchcock’s film “The Birds”.
We won’t have a chance…
We are submerged by this plastic so comfortable and convenient.
An invisible pollution that infiltrates all food chains creating new ecosystems and killing more than a million animals a year.
An urgent and vital reflection on our relationship with oil is required!
Animals in distress
If animals could have human expressions, which one do you think would be most appropriate for our time?
It is on this proposal that the 4e students had to reflect on anthropomorphism and empathy.
We would have destroyed 52% of natural spaces and human activity would have made 2/3 of wild animals disappear.
My street in 2038
What will my street look like when I’m 30?
This is the question that was asked to 3e students.
Not easy for them to project themselves in a near future and to imagine between “utopia” and “dystopia” their environment and their daily life.
Like the scientific findings, a majority of students have a negative vision of their street.
