Language Learning

At FIS, the learning of languages is at the heart of our teaching. We appreciate the importance of mastering English by the end of a student's schooling as well as learning other European languages and Mandarin.

In Primary, we offer several options for learning English according to class, campus and each student's level of English. Mandarin is taught in MS (September 2018) and in CM1 and CM2.

In Secondary, this exposure carries on through collège and lycée with several options for language learning including Amercian Section (OIB), International Baccalaurate option, accredited by the Education Department and US College Board. Students following this curriculum benefit from teaching which leads them to native speaker fluency in French and English.
