FIS Girls Football Shine at Fête de la Francophonie

Issue 58: 22/3/2024 Strategic Objective:

On a beautiful, sun-soaked Sunday, March 17th, the football pitch at CAIS proved to be the perfect setting for an exhilarating day of competition. The FIS Girls’ Football Team, filled with determination and passion, eagerly participated in the Fête de la Francophonie 5v5 mixed football tournament. Amidst a field of diverse teams, the FIS girls stood out as the only cohesive all-girls squad, ready to demonstrate their skills and make their mark on the tournament.

Undeterred by the unique challenge they faced, the FIS girls showcased their exceptional talent and teamwork throughout the day. Their focus and relentless effort paid off as they emerged triumphant in several games.

The team’s success was not only attributed to their solid performance as a whole but also to the individual brilliance displayed on the field. Lucie, Mel, and Eleonore shone brightly, each contributing with breathtaking goals.

The FIS girls’ sportsmanship and fair play were also recognised and celebrated. The Fair Play Award was given to FIS, a testament to their integrity on and off the field.

Their magical goals and exemplary sportsmanship left an indelible mark on the competition, inspiring other girls with their dedication and passion for the beautiful game of football. Well done, FIS Girls’ Football Team.

Thank you to Coach Dani for coaching them in the tournament.
