Student Life Council

The CVL (Conseil de la Vie lycéenne – “Student Life Council”) elections were held on 6 October 2023, and 10 high school students were elected. As a reminder, the CVL is a representative body for high school students, chaired by the French Stream Secondary Principal, Mme Coupat. Students are elected from the high school student body. The Vice-Chairman is elected at the General Delegates’ Meeting.

The first meeting was held on Tuesday, 31 October. The representatives were all present and eager to get involved in the Asia-Pacific zone project, promoted by the AEFE: the inter-CVL project.

This project, common to 11 schools in the zone that have expressed an interest, has as its guiding theme, the theme of water: ODD 6, Clean water and sanitation.

Each CVL will be asked to draw up a project in line with local issues, which will then be submitted to Mr. Cario, coordinator of the Asia-Pacific zone, who will choose one. Vice-presidents and CPEs from other schools will then join the chosen school in presenting the project.

This Inter-CVL meeting enables students to work on a joint project, the main aim of which is to help them develop their sense of citizenship. It will also be an opportunity to highlight the most successful project in all its dimensions (organisation/mobilisation of the educational community/impact on the population/communication…).

In the event of our project not being selected, the CVL students will then present it to their fellow students.
