PIX ?? Yet another acronym
PIX is a system that delivers a digital awareness certificate in 6ème and a certification in 3ème and Terminale.
From the 6ème onwards, this programme raises awareness of good digital practices.
Two Pix courses are offered to 6ème. Mr Cabane, math teacher, and the health department are currently working with classes on the 2 campuses to help them prepare and raise their awareness of the two courses:
-
- a “Digital Protection and Safety” course with a focus on cyberbullying and its prevention (legal obligations for minors on social networks, reporting, ways of reacting to a cyberbullying situation, etc.).
- This 1st course targets 4 skills, including 3 from domain 4:
- securing the digital environment ;
- protecting personal data and privacy;
- protecting health, well-being and the environment;
- FOCUS on preventing cyberbullying.
- This 1st course targets 4 skills, including 3 from domain 4:
- a 2nd course, entitled “6e Introduction Course to Digital Skills”, which is more general in nature, to enable students not only to be better equipped to deal with the risks and pitfalls that digital technology can represent, but also to take full advantage of its opportunities.
- At the end of the year, at the end of these two courses, students complete a final course enabling them to retry the questions they didn’t pass previously. This course enables them to obtain an awareness certificate with a 50% pass rate. This will be mentioned in the 3rd term report card.
- a “Digital Protection and Safety” course with a focus on cyberbullying and its prevention (legal obligations for minors on social networks, reporting, ways of reacting to a cyberbullying situation, etc.).
Our mathematics teacher, Mr. Delettrez, will continue his role as the PIX Coordinator for students from 6ème to Terminale. He will diligently prepare the students and ensure the smooth administration of the certifications this year. We express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to him for his valuable contributions.
