Y10/11 Disco

Last Thursday we had a long awaited disco for Y10/11 students.

This was organised by our Student Voice Council (SVC)(2022-23) who highlighted the fact that these year groups had never experienced the fun of a junior disco due to covid closures and restrictions. We were delighted to be able to go a small way to make up for this last week.

SVC volunteers worked alongside Mr Cheung and our Events Team to organise the disco. They invited volunteers from FISCA, Y12 students and teachers to help supervise. Many thanks to the community for their support and time.

Y12 took the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the upcoming 24 Hour Race: Running to Stop the Traffik (human trafficking) by selling snacks. By the time the leftovers were snapped up by teachers the following morning, they had raised $1100.

The disco and the fundraiser were both student-led initiatives. Between now and mid-term we will be holding elections for SVC members. Please encourage your children to use their voices and turn ideas into actions.
