Welcome back to 2023/24

Issue 35: 8/9/2023 From the Principal

Our Students Spirited and Confident

On behalf of the whole of the IS Primary team, at all three of our primary campuses TKO, JL and CW, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you for the  2023/4 academic year at FIS!

This year, we are celebrating the 60th Anniversary of our school! #ProudToBeFIS

It has been wonderful to welcome our new and existing students and families.  We have many exciting student and community events for term one and for the rest of the academic year. These include:

We will highlight events and learning on IS Primary Twitter,  and in Le Bulletin, plus year-group home learning letters.

Our Community Diverse and Engaged

IEYC/IPC Personal Goals

Personal Learning Goals underpin the individual qualities and learning dispositions that citizens of the future will need to thrive in a demanding and ever-changing global society. These are embedded into all our learning activities and school events from IEYC to MP3. These can be found in the handbooks and are a lovely way to engage in conversations with your children at home about their learning at school.

Parent Workshops Term One

Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC)

In term one, these will be online via Google Meet during the week beginning 6th November.  In term two, the PTC will be face-to-face on campus.  Some parents prefer online. Some prefer face-to-face. This way, all preferences are covered. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

Zones of Regulation

We use the Zones of Regulation to support the emotional well-being of our students in IS Primary. The Zones of Regulation is a programme that helps students identify and regulate their emotions. We use this programme to help our students understand their emotions, learn self-regulation, and promote positive behaviour. There will be parent workshops in term two!

Our teachers and school counsellors are here to help each student’s well-being and development. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out and make contact.
