International Sustainable Film Festival – Opening Ceremony
The International Sustainable Development Film Festival was off to a good start this Tuesday with two events in the auditorium at Jardine’s Lookout Campus. In the morning, films from the PEACE category were in the spotlight. The judging panel underlined the richness and quality of the selection. Among the four films selected for the home stretch, it was Stalag 325, by Liya L. and Iris N. who ultimately won the PEACE Award.
In the evening, the official opening ceremony took place, in front of an audience of around a hundred people. A selection of seven films in the PLANET category were of such a diverse range that it made the judging panel’s decision quite a difficult one! Alas, it was the film Reborn, by Emilie B., Pascal Y., Enzhuo W. (Lycée Francais de Shanghai) which won the prize, while “an expensive dinner” by Antoine L. (FIS Hong Kong) was awarded a Special Award. Next week we will discover the winners of the other two categories (PROSPERITY and PEOPLE), as well as the Grand Jury Prize which will be awarded during the closing ceremony which will take place all afternoon of Saturday 20th May at our Tseung Kwan O campus. We hope to see many of you there – register now!
