Issue 29: 19/5/2023 , Blue Pool Road News (Reflections and Achievements) 5ème

This week, in the context of their Geography unit on Sustainability, Resources and Endangered Species, the 5ème SIA classes had a special guest visit. Sam Inglis is a Wildlife Programme Manager at ADM Capital Foundation (ADMCF), an NGO based out of Hong Kong with a strong agenda on marine and terrestrial endangered species. He gave a captivating talk about the wildlife trade in Hong Kong, covering many elements of the illegal trade, including how criminal groups are operating in and through our city, as well as some of the concerning aspects of Hong Kong’s legal trade in live exotic animals, such as its impact on biodiversity here in Hong Kong and in the animals’ country of origin.
