“Dans mon Jardin…”- ART HOUSE – Exhibition from 2 to 22 May 2023

Art House 2023 brings together among others the paintings of 1e & Terminale students in Visual Arts who were more interested in the representation of the Garden in Art. The garden has inspired many artists. In art, it emanates from all history in the modern period. Klimt, Matisse, Monet, Bonnard and Niki de Saint Phalle have also made it a recurring theme. By discovering the many representations in Art, the students created a composition that brings together figuration and abstraction, with the idea : “In my garden…” or “Nature preserved”. In the paintings exhibited for Art House 2023, you will find a lush garden inspired by the gardens of Klimt where a rafflesia grows, and dandelion, another Provencal with lavender, lemon and rosemary… symbolising joy, carelessness, cheerfulness and childhood . You will see the allegory of Spring in her dress of hydrangeas, and also hyacinths, lilies or water lilies. Long live the gardens and the season when nature gives colour to landscapes!
