It was great to celebrate with the student’s parents, our Head of School and students, parents and colleagues from other schools in Hong Kong.
GREEN WEEK
Last week was FIS Primary Green Week: Lots of exciting workshops, art projects, parent workshops and a visit to the HK recycling centre. Vie Scolaire and the school Green Committee kindly organised this weeks program.
CAMP QUOTES TKO
We had our first camps over the last two weeks for a very long time. TKO Y3 – Y6 students went to day camps in Sai Kung. JL Campus Y3 – Y6 will be going next to a different location.
The students said:
- “We loved kayaking. It was really fun.”
- “The hike was tough, but we made it.”
- “We enjoyed the organic farm.”
LEAP BUS
This term, students will experience the LEAP bus program as in years before COVID.
The health-based drug prevention programmes offered by Life Education Activity Programme (LEAP) are endorsed by the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Education Bureau, the Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau and the Tobacco Control Office of the Department of Health. Adopting a positive approach, the sequential programmes help students learn about their bodies and the effects of drugs. In addition, through role-play, students have the chance to build up their problem-solving and social-resistance skills, which in turn, help them establish a healthy lifestyle and avoid drugs. The activities are delivered in an age-appropriate way for primary-age students, with characters the students meet each time.
