Welcome back to term three 2023

Issue 25: 21/4/2023 From the Principal

Welcome back to term three! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break. On Saturday, 3rd June, the school will hold the FIS FAMILY FUN FAIR and Primary Student 60th Anniversary Art Gallery at JL Campus.  Further details to follow via whole school communication.

FIS Primary Cross-Stream Book Week

This week FIS primary had a book week. Students took part in literary quizzes organised by the librarians. Buddy reading, where all classes visit another class for 30 minutes to read to each other. We had well-known authors visiting, plus FIS staff as special guest readers. We had a book sale to raise money for the Sunbeam charity and a book character dress-up day. Thank you for all the support from our families.

FIS Cross-Stream Green Week

Next week across FIS Primary, the Vie Scolaire has organised Green Week with many eco-themed activities, workshops, planting and even a trip to the recycling centre.

Day camps from Year 3 to Year 6

Miss Elsdon (TKO)  and Mr Phillips (JL)  have spent much time organising day camps for students from Year 3 to Year 6 this term. Camps are great opportunities to develop skills, including collaboration, resilience and communication. It is really important students take part in these camps.

FIS Cross-Stream Early Years Sports Days

Early Years Sports Days will now take place on campuses to ensure they go ahead.

Parent workshops

To support parents with how students are assessed and how to understand the end-of-year report, I will be leading the following workshops this term. Reports will be sent via Engage Friday, 23rd June.

Save the date for Year 6 graduation
