FIS STUDENTS LEAD CLIMATE FRESK WORKSHOPS
Sometimes the best person to learn from is another student! Our secondary students have recently been educating other young people on climate change so they too can become climate literate and feel empowered to share their knowledge with their families and friends. We are so proud of our students and thrilled to provide them with an opportunity to contribute to the community in such an important way!
Working with Primary Students
On the morning of 30 March, the Chai Wan Campus welcomed 18 Climate Fresk secondary student facilitators from the French stream at TKO and BPR. These dedicated young climate educators led the very first Climate Fresk for 87 primary students at Chai Wan Campus.
Teachers and parents supported the initiative and were delighted to see the integration of secondary and primary students!
Providing Climate Education for the Girl Scouts
On Earth Day 2023 (22 April) FIS hosted Climate Fresk workshops for 35 Girl Scouts at our Blue Pool Road campus. Seven students (supported by 3 teachers) provided a fun and stimulating day of learning and helped spread the word about climate change to create a wave of consciousness in Hong Kong.
The Climate Fresk workshops are a wonderful example of how our youth is more and more involved in Climate Action initiatives. Our students’ willing to take action, empower others and band together to create change inspires us all.
A HUGE well done to our Climate Fresk facilitators from TKO and BPR campuses, teachers and parents involved.
