Comic Book Week at the Library

Issue 18: 10/2/2023 , Tseung Kwan O, Blue Pool Road News (Reflections and Achievements) Y7, Y8, Y9, Y10, Y11, Y12, Y13, 6ème, 5ème, 4ème, 3ème, 2nde, 1ère, Terminale

To echo the Angoulême International Comics Festival, the libraries at BPR and TKO paid tribute to the comic book.

6ème students, led by their art teacher, came to the library to discover the history of comics and the specific vocabulary of this 9th art. They then created their own comic book on a theme from Greek or Roman mythology studied with their French and History-Geography teachers. For this, they used the BDnF application.

Y7 students who had already worked on this application also came to present their boards.

Throughout the week, students from both schools were able to participate in activities around comics.

At BPR, they admired the drawings of the authors we have received at the high school for the past ten years, as well as the boards created by Y9 students.

At TKO, they discovered an exhibition on the theme “from novel to comic book”.

This week was very appreciated.
