Teachers go back to (drama) school

French Stream English teachers spent an afternoon learning more about drama techniques to enhance their English as a Second language classes. The workshop was led by Veronica Rowley, our secondary English and Drama colleague. In addition to looking at techniques which can help students improve their linguistic skills, teachers learnt how to develop students’ confidence in themselves using verbal and non-verbal communication.

Drama is taught across the English department in the French stream, as part of the SIA and the LCE sections. 

Special thanks go to Mrs Rowley’s troisième LCE class and Mr Hill’s year 10 group for allowing us to observe their drama lessons. The students were unfazed by  8 teachers scrutinising their every move!
