International Primary Update

Issue 08: 11/11/2022 From the Principal

FIS Primary cross stream Football team matches

This week we took two boys teams and two girls teams to an International Schools Football Tournament at Kings Park. The players were selected from all three primary schools and from the French and International Streams. Seeing all the children playing with determination, resilience, enthusiasm, and pride was wonderful. They all were a credit to our school. In terms of performance, we had many wins, The most notable being a 6-1 victory over a solid Chinese International School boys team.

Fantastic team performances, and a massive thank you to the staff and parents who accompanied and supported our teams.

Shared Project: French Stream and International Stream

French Stream and International Stream teachers planned exciting shared projects at all campuses in the first half term to enable students to collaborate and develop language skills. Projects included: Art projects Code of conduct focus, Well-being projects and sports projects.

IEYC and IPC Exit Points

We had many students sharing their learning of different units with other classes, French Stream and parents in the week’s final part. Students demonstrated their Knowledge, Skills and Understanding in various subjects with each unit.

Early Years (IEYC)

The world around us unit saw students and their families engage in action and agency around recycling and composting. Learning is linked to sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Primary (IPC)

The brainwave unit in Year three enables students to understand how they learn, how the brain works and understand metacognition. They wowed parents with their knowledge, skills and understanding.
