IS Primary Update

Issue 07: 28/10/2022 From the Principal

International Celebrations Diwali

It was inspiring to have parents leading so many workshops and engaging our students from nursery to year six at all campuses. Our well-being coordinators, Miss Daswani and Miss Atkinson, have prepared a photographic article for this week’s Le Bulletin. A huge THANK YOU to all parents who gave their time and inspired our students. Our next international celebrations are Christmas and Chinese New Year.

Parent forum Term One

Last week the international stream primary principal and vice principals met with the class parents and elected parent representatives. The slide deck is now available on the parent portal, Mylifis, IS Primary. The sides contain contacts, responses to issues raised and IS Primary plans for 2023/24. Our main focus as a school this academic year is health and well-being.

Primary Leadership

As you may be aware, Melissa Payne, Vice Principal, is expecting her first baby. Although we will miss her smiles and kindness on our campuses, we wish her the best for this exciting time.

During this time, Jane Wakeman will be mostly based at the JL campus, and I will be mostly based at the TKO campus. For CW campus, the current arrangement will maintain. Richard Phillips, Vice Principal, will also be leading CW, but be reassured this will not affect his Year Five class responsibilities.

Box of Hope

Your children will soon bring home from school an information sticker for the Box of Hope charity. Please take a moment with your children to look at the website http://www.boxofhope.org/home/main/en/ . It contains a detailed explanation of how to wrap and fill your boxes and interesting information about the charity and its recipients.
