Call for Volunteers – Sustainability Committee

FISCA (French International School Community Association) 

We hope your children’s first weeks at school have gone smoothly and they are settling into their new classes and environment nicely. Some parents have already had the chance to meet the teachers (face-to-face, yay!) and also have met our dedicated FISCA Team Members during the introductory meetings. We have had some fantastic feedback; please keep your suggestions and ideas coming!

Our Sustainability Committee is back-to-business and is looking for volunteers with a diverse set of skills for their upcoming projects. Please reach out to us at the email below to participate.

Gardening Coordinator for each campus (Liaise with teachers and students within the curriculum ‘From Seed to Table’)

Anyone with a green thumb or wanting to learn by doing is welcome! 

Communication Coordinator (Liaise with FIS Marketing and Communication Department)

Looking for team members with editorial, graphic design and/or social media skills (English and/or French).

Carbon Audit Facilitator for each campus (Liaise with Campus Operation Teams)

Measure and record our school’s GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions and contribute to a community effort to reduce our carbon footprint. 

Circular Economy Coordinator for each campus (e.g. liquid cartons, compost, etc. – Liaise with Campus Operation Teams)

Coordination and management of collection and re-distribution of recyclable materials. This activity is not very time-consuming and can add significant value, providing sustainable solutions for our school.

As mentioned in our previous message, FISCA is in its beginnings and we are excited to build up an enthusiastic and friendly team!
