Following the excellent fundraising result during the School Fairs at Hung Hom and Jardine’s campuses in 2015/2016 school year, FIS and parents of the organising teams were delighted to hand over two cheques for HK$30,000 to Phare Ponleu Selpak Association and Changing Young Lives Foundation in July and September 2016.
Phare Ponleu Selpak is a non-profit NGO located in Battambang, Cambodia that helps children from difficult backgrounds improve their lives through artistic training, educational programs, and social support. Three of their students came to Hong Kong to performed circus art during the Fairs and their inspirational show was truly enjoyed by all.
Changing Young Lives Foundation is a local charity which serves underprivileged young people in Hong Kong and the Mainland. They seek to help and inspire them to work towards a better life through educational and developmental programmes. This is the second year FIS has supported the Foundation.
Thank you to all of the students, their parents and school staff for their generosity which demonstrates our strong tradition of supporting charities which is as an important aspect of our school mission.
