The students went to great lengths (with some feeling the pressure!) for these three intensive days of athletics. Thanks to some great performances and a bigger improvement by level across the different ages, we were able for the first time ever to win an Overall Medal for the Girls across all 3 age groups!
We were 4th place overall after coming 3rd in the C and B Grade and putting in some great performances in A Grade (1st place for Estelle in shot put).
We still have lots of ways to progress and, who knows, we could be fighting next year for a spot in Division 2. In order to get there we’d have to be 1st in our Division 3 group, beating around forty schools since only the first overall (Girls and Boys) from each of the 4 groups goes up…
Once in Division 2, there is only one group of around 24 schools. The team that is first can then go up to Division 1 with only 15 other schools … the best of the best!
