FIS Unesco Club is recruiting !

The organizing team comprising Victoria Airaut, Tara Mottet, Thomas Rendall and Anna de Courcy, will hold an information session open to everyone

Monday 18 September at 5:30pm in Room 505

Students from both streams – Year 10/3ème to Year 13/Terminale – can sign up. There is no restriction on numbers.

The UNESCO club consists of volunteer students who aim to spread UNESCO’s ideals by setting up projects in support of their chosen causes. This year, the club will be affiliated to the Fédération Française Pour l’UNESCO; it will be bigger with 6 suggested committees:

  • Environment
  • Communication and Information
  • Human Rights
  • Education
  • Heritage
  • Sciences

Each committee will have a leader, elected by the students.

There are many ideas for future projects: debates, student interventions, exhibitions, fund raisers…

The most popular committees will be separated into two groups: one taking care of major projects and another for smaller projects which means everyone can take part, even those whose studies or extra-curricular commitments mean they don’t have much time.
