Experience the magic of our 60th anniversary gala
Dear FIS Community,
As most of you know, we held our 60th anniversary gala on November 25. In this issue you will find a captivating video and pictures sharing the highlights of the evening held at the Aberdeen Marina Club. I am especially proud of our students who provided much of the entertainment for the evening: music, dances, and an unforgettable fashion show awed our audience.
The main goal of a gala is to raise funds in support of improving the programs at the school which, as a not-for-profit, otherwise relies exclusively on tuition to run its operations. Today, I am happy to report that we were able to raise just over 1 million Hong Kong dollars that evening: over 350,000 HKD in profits from the ticket sales (after all expenses), and 650,000 HKD in our silent and live auctions. These funds are earmarked toward developing programs in line with our school strategy, especially in the areas of innovation and sustainability. I look forward to future opportunities to share when a specific action was made possible by the use of these funds.
Much appreciation goes to the over 250 guests who participated in the evening, and the many among them who took part in our auctions. I also extend my thanks to the 11 corporate sponsors who purchased tables, and all the other sponsors who supported and made this event possible.
