Documentary Screening « Frères des arbres » Tuesday December 12th
On Tuesday December 12, we are delighted to welcome film-maker Marc Dozier and the Papuan chief of the Huli tribe, Mundiya Kepanga, to the Blue Pool Road and Jardin Lookout campuses. Both have gained international renown and have been seen at COP21 and UNESCO.
Throughout the day, they will be speaking to our primary and secondary students about issues including the defence of primary forests. The documentary “Frères des arbres” (BrotherWood), which has won more than 15 international awards, will be screened.
At 6pm on the same day, we invite you to attend a free public screening of the documentary in the auditorium on the Jardin Lookout campus, as part of the International Sustainable Development Film Festival. The screening will be followed by a bilingual question and answer session. However, the documentary will be shown in French.
In “Frères des arbres”, Mundiya Kepanga invites us to take a fresh look at nature and the elements. He has a message for everyone on the planet: the forest is a universal heritage that produces the oxygen we all breathe and that must be preserved. It’s a call to protect all the world’s primary forests, reminding us that we are all brothers of the trees.
Book your place now on Eventbrite. Nearly 100 tickets were already booked on the first day!
