Celebrating the Success of the Spectacular Family Fun Fair!

Issue 31: 9/6/2023 Strategic Objective:

Hello FIS,

Last Saturday, our Family Fun Fair took place, and it was an extraordinary event that exceeded all expectations! The scorching hot weather did not deter our incredible community, as more than 2200 teachers, staff, parents, and children from all four campuses gathered for a day filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

We are proud to share with you some remarkable statistics from this monumental event.

We were delighted to have 7 food and beverage vendors, including Chartwells, tantalising our taste buds and keeping us refreshed throughout the day. 18 other vendors attended, offering everything from photo shoots to toys and decorative items. It’s worth mentioning that 40% of these vendors were parents!.

With activities and attractions spread across three playground areas, our attendees had no shortage of entertainment options. There were 18 games and activities for families to enjoy together, as well as a variety of performances, reminding us of the artistic brilliance that thrives within our school.

One of the highlights was the incredible display of baking talent. A whopping 76 bakers came forward and donated around 2000 pieces of delicious cake. The scrumptious treats not only satisfied our sweet tooth but also added an extra layer of community spirit to the event.

None of this would have been possible without the invaluable support of approximately 100 volunteers, including a number of FIS students! These amazing individuals selflessly dedicated their time to manning the games and activity booths, ensuring that every aspect of the Family Fun Fair ran smoothly.

Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who attended the Family Fun Fair. Your presence, enthusiasm, and support made this event an overwhelming success. Together, we demonstrated the incredible strength and unity of our school community, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.

We hope that the Family Fun Fair has created lasting memories for you and your families. Let’s carry the spirit of togetherness and celebration throughout the year and continue building a stronger, more vibrant community.
