FIS Joins The Alliance for Sustainable Schools!
One more sustainability milestone achieved for FIS!
On 10 May, The French International School became one of the founding members of The Alliance for Sustainable Schools, TASS.
By signing the Sustainable Schools Charter we joined a community of schools working together for a sustainable future. This also signifies our commitment to prioritising sustainability in our operations and decision-making in four key areas: School Food, School Buses, School Uniforms, and School Buildings. This is an opportunity for us to have an impact on a larger scale and leverage our collective power, not only in Hong Kong but across the world. Currently TASS has more than 100 school members in 27 countries from Singapore to China, India to the UAE, Kazakhstan to Kenya.
The signing ceremony was especially meaningful as it took place in the presence of our eco-delegates, representatives of the FIS Sustainability Committee, and our Coordinator for Sustainable Development, Dr. Martial Jaume, without whom none of this would have been possible.

As Mr. Anthony Dixon, founder of TASS, shares “ Sustainability is – necessarily – a community activity. You can’t be a sustainable school in isolation.” And we are with you in this mission, Mr. Dixon!
“Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.”
