Admissions Procedure

Procedure

STEP 1 - ENQUIRY

French Stream or International Stream?

Find out what our school offers in terms of curriculum, campuses and more, so you can make sure you choose the best fit for your child. You can also visit the school to have a clear picture of the stimulating and welcoming environment our students enjoy every day. Check our curriculum!

STEP 2 - APPLICATION

There are no application deadlines, we accept application from birth.

Please submit an application as soon as possible to enter our applicant pool.

STEP 3 - ASSESSMENT

French Stream: Applicants who have not attended a French state school or a school in the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) network may be asked to attend an interview or an assessment. The assessment format depends on the year group applied for.

International Stream: Every applicant must pass an assessment as part of the enrolment process. We have limited assessment spots for certain year groups. The assessment format depends on the year group applied for.

STEP 4 - ADMISSION

Congratulations! For successful applicants, an admission offer will be sent to you soon subject to places availability. To complete your child’s admission at FIS, you must:

  • provide the payment of the tuition fee deposit;
  • purchase a private debenture or a corporate debenture.
  • complete the direct debit authorisation form
STEP 5 - WELCOME

Before your child’s first day at school, we will share all the necessary information to ensure a smooth start for everyone (canteen, uniform, bus, Parent Portal, visa requirements, etc.)

Your Application

Chances for admission vary across different year group. There are no application deadlines, but we suggest you check with the Admissions Department to find out more about our curriculum and availabilities.

When a space becomes available, we contact the family who will best meet our admission criteria for assessment and/or admission offer. Position of the applicant on our waiting pool will not be disclosed.

Your Campus Preferences

Our Admissions Team will contact you a year ahead of the school year for which you applied, to ask about your campus preference as well as to confirm that you are still wanting to join FIS.

As many of you apply as early as 4 years prior to your child’s potential enrolment, do not forget to update your contact details with us, if needed!

Admissions Priority

The school admissions policy for both the French Stream and International Stream gives priority to certain applicants. The admissions priority serves as a guide used through the FIS admissions process and does not guarantee a place. The final decision for all applicants is at the discretion of our Admissions Committee.
