FIS Strategy and summary of the last weeks

Issue 32: 16/6/2023

Dear FIS community,

Thank you to parents who attended the unveiling of the FIS Strategy for the Future of Our Students, the Future of Our School, on Tuesday, June 13 on our TKO campus. This document, adopted by the Board on April 24, is now the official strategic plan of the school for the years to come. It can be found on our website, and I strongly encourage you to either read it or watch the 5-minute video that summarises its objectives.

The last few weeks at FIS have been a rejuvenating whirlwind: while many of our high schoolers have focused on exams since April, with the French Brevet and Baccalaureate to end later this month, other students have been busy with end-of-year shows, off-campus outings, exit points… and at times aiming at the head of school at a dodge ball game!

Not to mention the exceptional Family Fun Fair in which over 2,500 members of our community enjoyed games, activities and performances in our Jardine’s Lookout campus (3rd June). It was outstanding to take part in an event with students, parents, and staff members from all four campuses assembled in the same space. Gratitude and congratulations to our wonderful Community Association (FISCA) for its success in planning and implementing such a wonderful event, the highlight of our 60th anniversary celebrations.

Two more weeks to go, and I will return on June 30th to greet you for the summer in the last issue of our Bulletin.

Warm regards,

Dr. Emmanuel Bonin
Head of School
