FIS in June 2024, in your own words!
As part of my last meetings at FIS (meeting with faculty and staff reps, parents reps, Conseil Victor Segalen with students, parents, teachers, board members present), I asked participants to share three words that best describe FIS as of today, in June 2024. It was heart-warming and rejuvenating to see the themes emerge from the responses.
Below you will find the raw list of words, in alphabetical order, that were gathered during the facilitated protocols. When a word was shared several times during the process, it is indicated. Note that the exercise was conducted in English, therefore this article is not translated into French, nor is the list.
Out of 53 words, 50 have a positive or neutral connotation. The words that came up more than once are: active, ambitious, change, clarity, collaborative/collaboration, diversity, ecosystem, evolving, and united community.
I definitely recognize FIS in the kaleidoscope of words shared. It was reassuring to see important themes of our strategy represented: a culture of collaboration, an eagerness for change and evolution, our Frenchness, etc. I believe strongly that in June 2024, FIS is at a great juncture and in a position of strength to continue to build strategically on the gains made in the last two years.
