The final week of term 3 (26-30 June 2023) is a very important one for our Y12 students. The laboratories become their home for two days whilst they complete a collaborative IB science project. I have witnessed many of these over the years and they are always a great learning experience, whilst also being a compulsory component of the IB Diploma Programme.

Students will also attend university application workshops. The first term of Y13 is a very busy time for the students as they collate everything they need for university applications. These workshops (plus advanced preparation in PSHE) helps take some of the pressure away from our students in the Autumn.

Last but not least, our students will attend Extended Essay workshops. They are already working hard on their essay plans and during term 3 they will be supported so that they are ready to write the essay during the summer. The workshops at the end of June play a crucial role in the Extended Essay process.

It will be a productive week and one that will have long term impacts.
