FIS Primary Cricket Success
Wednesday 30 May
FIS took part in the annual ESF Cricket Tournament which involved 16 schools from all over Hong Kong. FIS had three group games to begin the tournament. The team started extremely well winning their first two games comfortably against Renaissance College and Kellett, but then lost out to DBIS.
The early victories ensured FIS were in the Bowl semi-finals. It was here that FIS played the game of the tournament to win against Glenealy by only 2 runs! Hong Lok Yuen were the opponents in the Bowl Final and the team put in a superb all-round performance to end up as Bowl Champions!
Well done to all the players on the day. A great way to finish the school cricket season!
Wednesday 16 May
FIS hosted the Island Schools Cricket Tournament. This involved 8 different ESF and International Schools. FIS played three games in a tough group stage. The first two games were the closest games of the whole tournament. FIS missed out by 4 runs to Bradbury and only 2 runs to Kennedy! In the final group game, FIS managed to beat Glenealy, which means FIS have qualified to compete in the ESF Cricket Tournament Finals on 30 May.
Well done to all the team for displaying some fantastic skills throughout the tournament.
