Great swimming results for FIS

HKSSF organised an inter-school swimming competition on Friday 13 and Thursday 19 October.

Around 40 international and local schools competed over 2 days in many individual races as well as team relays.

23 swimmers represented FIS at this competition which is the highlight of the year.

Our swimmers performed brilliantly once again with excellent individual and relay swims.  17 FIS swimmers qualified for the finals:

  • B Grade girls relay (Clarisse, Juliette, Mathilde, Alexia)
  • B Grade boys relay (Adrien, Ulysse, Matthew, Robin)
  • C Grade girls relay (Kayleigh, Alice, Tanisha, Imogen)
  • All came 4th in the 4 x 4 relays

The C Grade boys relay (Paul, Eden, Lorenzo, Emeric), were unfortunately disqualified on a technical fault after swimming to a fantastic 2nd place in the final.

We also note the following excellent individual swims:

  • Mathilde, 3rd in 100m breaststroke  B Grade (1:22.47)
  • Paul, 3rd in 50m backstroke C Grade (37.09)
  • Payer, 2nd in 50m butterfly C Grade (32.83)
  • and finally, the excellent Eden, 1st in 100m freestyle (1:01.30) and 50m backstroke (32.36) C Grade.

Congratulations to all our swimmers and their supporters.  The next target for the FIS swimming team is the Asian games in Shanghai!
