Literary studies by 6ème OIB students
Not only did students identify the major elements necessary for good children’s fiction, they also decided to create their own stories for children.
Our young authors decided as literary novices that it would be more interesting to imply information to the reader, who in turn would have to infer the meanings behind the references, metaphors and images they included in their stories.
In order to understand how effective their stories were, Mr. Mulligan’s students invited Mr. Meehan’s and Mr. Tailamée’s CM2 students to give their critiques. The authors and their audience had a wonderful exchange in which author and reader learned from each other.
