3rd SLDLP: join the big beach cleaning movement

This French community initiative supported by the French Consulate in Hong Kong and Macao aims to raise awareness about the damage caused by plastic waste and marine pollution.

The French community will once again come together for a large beach cleanup and recycling operation to inspire positive changes towards environmental protection. Join us in one of the 4 selected areas in Hong Kong:

Saturday 10 March 2018
South Lantau – Lamma – HK Island South – Sai Kung

Further information and registration on the dedicated website: http://souslesdechetslaplage.hk

A perfect example of “Think global, act local”, this event seeks to demonstrate that everyone can be an agent of change.

Volunteers will clean up the beach and also, more importantly, sort the waste, in order to separate recyclable plastic (that will be collected by the local company Chungsing), and other items.

This operation will be in presence of Mr Eric Berti, Consul General of France, and Mr Romain Troublé, CEO of the Tara Expeditions Foundation.

This initiative is also an opportunity for the French to thank the Hong Kong community for its welcome; event open to all.
