Since the end of the 1980s Willie Smits has devoted himself, body and soul, to his adopted country of Indonesia, and to the problem of biodiversity. Invited to give numerous talks overseas, COP21 negotiator, subject of many documentaries, founder of the NGO Masarang, he is an indispensable authority in his area of expertise.
