Stop Motion Workshop: “Hong Kong Once Upon a Time” – watch it now!

7 October 2016News, Uncategorized

Do you remember that on Friday 20 May some students from 6eme and 5eme took part in a Stop Motion workshop which was organised as part of the audio visual programme of the French May 2016? We are happy and proud to present the final result of this workshop which lasted six hours.  So here is our very, very short film “Hong Kong Once Upon a Time.”

We chose to feature the speed at which Hong Kong was urbanised: from an island inhabited by fishermen, it is now home to a huge economic capital.

We are all amazed to see that our story which began as static photos has become an animated film.

On Saturday 24 September 2016, we were lucky enough to be invited to the Alliance Française to be presented in front of the Consul with certificates confirming our participation in the audio visual programme. It was here that we had an emotional first viewing of our film on the big screen as well as those of three other Hong Kong schools who had taken part in the programme.

Finally, we would like to thank Chloé Rougier, leader of this workshop and her assistant, Emma.
