The Hong Kong Ballet’s visit to 6eme/5eme (French Stream) on 22 May was such a great success that we were delighted to welcome them back to Jardine’s Auditorium on 26 June thanks to the organisation of Ms Wang Meng Ngee. The theme for the show was Ballet PUS+ : The Curious World of Contemporary Ballet. The 5 dancers, one of them also a singer, presented to a full house of 325 students from RC-Year 6 (International Stream). They were well received by the audience who enjoyed a summary of the history of ballet and watched different styles of dancing. They even got the children and staff to try out some moves in their seats and on stage! It was a wonderful 40 minute performance, followed by a 10 minute Question and Answer with the students.

“It is a terrific show. Very Informative. They were really good!” Rob Guise (Teacher of Year 6)

“… the Y1s really enjoyed seeing the various styles of dance.” Stuart Plaw (Teacher of Year 1)

“… it’s great that our little ones get to see a “live” short performance – a taste of ballet! ” Tammy Ki (Teacher of Year 1)
