The poignant testimony of Auschwitz survivor Werner Reich

3ème and 1ère French Stream students and Y12 and Y13 International Stream students attended a talk by Werner Reich on Monday 22 January.

For the second consecutive year the History Department, with the help of HK Holocaust and Tolerance Centre, invited a concentration camp survivor to raise students’ awareness of this subject, which was covered in class.

This year, the students met Werner Reich, who was deported when he was the same age as them. They listened to the testimony of one of the last survivors of the Second World War. The feedback was unanimous: the students had met an eyewitness to history and they will be able to pass on his message of hope.
