Parent workshop - How is IEYC/IPC evolving at FIS?

At FIS the international primary is in its second year of using the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to deliver the British National Curriculum, in an international context. The curriculum is rigorous and the learning goals show a clear, defined progression from YR to Y6. This year the staff have been undertaking the beginning of the IEYC/IPC self-review process. This process looks at our teaching and learning through a critical lens, and enables the staff to reflect on their practise and move curriculum forward.

Next September the international primary section will begin the accreditation process for IEYC and IPC. At the beginning of term one, there will be a pre-accreditation visit by the accreditation team involving observation of lessons and talking to teachers, students and parents. Following this, the school will receive a report with recommendations on how to progress further with the accreditation process. In May 2020, the accreditation team will return to the international primary section for 5 days to complete our full accreditation.

We would like to extend an invitation to attend a practical workshop in May to update you on how the IEYC/IPC has progressed since September 2017. Google sign up forms will be sent shortly, but in the meantime could we ask you to save the dates below.
