Outstanding IB and IGCSE results for FIS students

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA

We are delighted to announce that all members of the FIS Class of 2017 successfully obtained the full IB Diploma  – a 100% success rate!

  • The FIS average score was 38 points, 8.05 points above the world average of 29.95 points.
  • 33% of our students, 9 in total, achieved 40 points or above.
  • 1 student attained the coveted maximum score of 45 points – a fantastic achievement! Only 218 students worldwide out of the 159,400 who sat this year’s IBDP achieved this perfect score.

INTERNATIONAL GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION

We are delighted to report that our Year 11 students excelled in the 2017 Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Examinations.
  • 57% of FIS students achieved at least 8 A*/A grades with almost half awarded 9 or more A*/A grades. 
  • 50% of all IGCSE examinations taken by FIS students were awarded at A*, 78% were awarded at A*/A and 97% were awarded at A*- C.
  • Three students recorded 9 straight A*, one student achieved 9A* plus 1A and another excelled with 11A* plus 1A grade.
