One FIS team will go to the final of the Alkindi Contest !

Two years ago, two associations in partnership with the French Ministry of Education and the DGSE (Directorate-General for External Security) launched the ALKINDI contest.

It is open to students from 4e to 2nde. Participants have to solve enigmas in cryptography using mathematics and algorithmic notions.

The competition gathers around 20 000 participants, and only 20 teams are selected for the Grand Final, included 13 from France, 1 from French overseas, 1 from AEFE and the top 5 at general ranking. This year, around 200 FIS students from 4e and 3e grouped in team of 1 to 4 people, get the opportunity to test their skills during the 3 rounds of the competition, which were organised since December by the Mathematics and Technology departments.

One of our teams succeeded in qualifying for the Final that will take place in Paris on Tuesday 28 May. This performance is impressive given that only one team from all the AEFE network could be selected for this event and it will be the Hong Kong FIS!

Congratulations to Marie B., Clélia L. and Elisa T., students from 4e,  for this exceptional result! We will fully support you for the grand finale on May, 28th!
