Primary School Cricket

The FIS Primary School Cricket team recently took part in two tournaments. The first on June 1st was the Island Schools Cricket Tournament. FIS won all three of their group games convincingly and made it through to the final. In the final FIS just lost out to a strong GSIS team and ended up coming runners-up on the day. A great all-round team performance.

Following a strong showing the week before, FIS qualified for the main Cup competition at the ESF Cricket tournament. 18 schools from all over Hong Kong were represented. FIS performed well on the day, demonstrating fantastic bowling, batting and fielding. After a nail-biting one run win over Kowloon Junior, FIS managed to finish 3rd. Congratulations to all of the team.

Year 5 Rounders Tournament

On Friday June 16th, FIS took two teams to the Year 5 Rounders tournament at GSIS. The tournament was played at a high standard throughout and FIS proved a tough opponent for the other schools involved. It was the first rounders competition for many of the students and FIS had a couple of narrow defeats to start the tournament. FIS came back strongly and managed to collect a few victories including a win by just one rounder! Well done to both teams for playing so well on the day.
