FIS student is becoming a classic ballet star

19 December 2016News, Uncategorized

Aylie had an amazing performance on Saturday 10th December at the “2016 Kangaroo Cup Dance Competition” where she finished first in the 8-9 yrs old Classical Ballet category! The judges rated her 94/100 and commented on her beautiful classical technique and very pretty expressions.

Aylie began ballet dancing at the age of 4 and since then, classical ballet has become her passion. Two years ago, she started learning the Russian Vaganova method and became more serious, taking 6 hours of lessons a week. Aylie began performing on stage with her school and participating in competitions.

Her dream continues during the Christmas holiday season when she will be participating in the HK Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. The audition and selection occurred a while ago and the whole production is now very much at the final rehearsal stage and preparation for the shows which start on 16 December …

We’re very excited for Aylie as it is a fantastic experience and opportunity for her to perform on stage along with the ‘pros’!
