FIS student awarded a Gold Medal at the Mathematics Olympiad

22,000 Première students from France, its overseas territories and abroad took part in the Mathematics Olympiad.

The jury selected 61 candidates from French and AEFE accredited schools from whom 41 winners were chosen.

The aim of this national Mathematics Olympiad is to tackle Maths problems differently, connecting them to everyday life and underlining the link between Maths and other sciences.

The Awards Ceremony took place on Wednesday 7 June and Nelson Lam, a student in Première at FIS, won a Gold medal. The prestigious award honoured his exceptional mathematical skills. Congratulations Nelson!
