Choose Kind - An Anti-Bullying Talk

The School Event Committee welcome three speakers to discuss the topic of bullying at school.

Mr Cameron Su, Senior student at Hong Kong International School, will talk about bullying situations through his book Memories Cached.

Ms Sue Thomas will share her experience as Restorative Practice leader and Facilitator and Vice-Principal for Secondary at Discovery College.

The workshop will cover the following topics, among others:
  • the basics of bullying (definition, types of bullying, warnings signs, mental health outcomes among bullied youth)
  • how to promote wellbeing in children
  • practical strategies to best prevent and handle bullying incidents
  • how to encourage student intervention on behalf of victimised peers

The talk will be in English and is addresses to Secondary students and parents from both the International Stream and the French Stream. Light refreshments will be served.
