Student Opportunities
Our Students are spirited and confident
Y3 – Y6 Overnight camps
We work in partnership with APA to ensure our camps meet the criteria outlined in our PE curriculum. APA works closely with our coordinators to ensure that the activities allow for a progression of skills and challenges from year three to year six. Health and safety is paramount for all of our trips.
- Risk assessments are in place by the camp provider for all activities.
- Staff and student ratios are above those recommended by the EDB.
- Students have safety briefings about each aspect of the camp.
- Staff are on duty at all times.
- Bathroom and bedtime routines are always clearly explained to the students upon arrival at camp.
House Captains 2023/24
Our house captains are elected within year six of each academic year. House captains present house points in assemblies. They also act as school ambassadors at different events during the school day.

Student Council
In FIS Primary, both streams conduct elections simultaneously for students aspiring to be student council members in years two to year six. In both streams, students will be invited to create posters, followed by voting. This year, the elections will be completed by 6th October. The Student Council meets regularly to discuss and take action on many aspects of student life, such as playground facilities, special event days, assemblies and whole school community events.
Shared Project
This half-term cross-stream shared project has focused on team building, getting to know each other and the FIS Primary Code of Conduct.
For example, CE2/Y4 Shared Project included working as a team, building houses of cards and playing collaborative parachute games
