EVENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Issue 17: 3/2/2023 Strategic Objective:

We sincerely hope the Year of the Rabbit is off to a great start for our FIS families. With the ease of Covid restrictions, we will be able to come together as a community much more often and we are happy to say that planning for two upcoming events is already in full swing.

Spring Fair

The Spring Fair will take place on Saturday, 3 June, at Jardine’s Lookout. Open to students and families from all campuses, the event will include activities, local vendors, a book stall, delicious food and drink and much, much more. An initial planning meeting is scheduled for 9th February from 8:30am – 10am at the Jardine’s Lookout Campus, Canteen Block E, for all interested in volunteering.

60th Anniversary

We are also beginning to plan for the culmination of the school’s 60th anniversary celebrations – the FIS Gala at the Aberdeen Marina Club in November. As usual, you can expect a fabulous evening with a flamboyant show, an opulent dinner and champagne and wine; all to raise funds to benefit the school. An initial planning meeting is scheduled for 15th February from 8:30am – 10am at the Blue Pool Road Campus, 5th Floor, for all interested in volunteering.

As you can imagine, none of these festivities can take place without the support of our FIS families. Please join us for one or both of these meetings to find out how you can participate. There’s something for everyone, whether you have a little or a lot of time to give! Please register to attend via the Spring Fair Form or the Gala Form or email us at fisca@g.lfis.edu.hk for more information.

ABOUT FISCA

FISCA is the French International School Community Association. We collaborate with students, staff, teachers and parents to build community, nurture goodwill and cooperation, share ideas and resources that enrich the student experience, and support the overall mission of the French International School of Hong Kong.

We will need as many volunteers as possible to help brainstorm, organise and execute various projects, and we welcome anyone with little or a lot of time to give. Please share your interest and/or your line of expertise with us at fisca@g.lfis.edu.hk so we can find the perfect match for you. Every Monday, we host an online meeting at 1pm where you can find out more or just tell us about yourselves.
