Extreme Weather Warnings
Dear Parents
Please be reminded that FIS will follow the government’s decisions in response to typhoon and rainstorm warnings. Parents, students and staff should pay attention to the media before embarking on the journey to school during times of inclement weather. Parents are advised to use their best judgement in determining whether to send their children to school during bad weather or dangerous road conditions.
Please note that due to technical reasons, FIS will no longer send a text message directly when rainstorm warnings or Typhoon signals are hoisted, and parents or staff are responsible for checking for any announcements. We will notify parents and staff as soon as possible through a pop up message on the website and an alert in the portals. Please refer to the ‘Extreme Weather Conditions Guidelines’ for your information, which can be found on our portals.
