Report on 17th October Board meeting
The Board of FIS meets every third Monday of the month (term time only). We are fully committed to demonstrating transparency and aligned with this, we will be sharing an update with you here monthly.
Listening and working well with all school stakeholders is a key part of our role to help inform our strategic decision-making. We therefore had great pleasure in welcoming the Principals of our 4 Divisions to share their key insights regarding the educational development of our students and their plans moving forward, and to hear how the school’s clear vision provides a common purpose and guiding principles to help align everyone to achieve success . The FIS approach is firmly focused on the individual and it is evident that pastoral care will be at the heart of what we do here at FIS in the future. The SLT aims to offer a wealth of support to all our students in their collective commitment to mental and physical health and wellbeing for students and staff.
We also had a tour of the Jardine’s Lookout campus and reviewed the proposed schedule of works for Summer 2023 which were approved. Upgrading our existing buildings will not only enhance school facilities and learning environments but also our students’ academic performances.
As you may know, the Board is made up of 6 committees and each of these presented their roadmaps which included their goals and objectives, which were then approved by the Board. Thank you to those parents who have joined these committees and we are looking forward to working with you.
