Time to step up: Calling all student leaders!
This week the 16 pedagogical leaders who are in charge of the four divisions of this complex school had the opportunity to work together to get to know each other better as a team, share ideas for the development of the school as a whole and set achievable actions to bring the French and International Streams together in practice over the coming year. The energy and willingness to work together towards common goals was evident throughout the day.
This week we launch our search for the leaders amongst the 380 students in the International Stream. Today your children have been given details by their tutors to outline the four areas in which we need students to come forward and represent their peers: Student Voice Council (SVC), Students Ambassadors (SA), Green Ambassadors (GA) and House Captains (HC)/Vice House Captains (VHC). The details can be found at the following links, including the deadlines for nominating themselves: Senior Students years 10 – 13 and Middle School Students years 7,8 & 9. Please take the time to look and encourage your son/daughter to take part and step up!
I would also urge you to take the time to read the message from Mr MaClean about the clubs that start next week. These are a great opportunity for students to get involved in activities outside the classroom, and develop new interests and passions. A big thank you to all the teachers who willingly step up and offer their time.
Finally, remember that school will be closed on Tuesday 4th October 2022 for National Day. We hope our Chinese families are able to be with their nearest and dearest on this important day for China.
